I don't know about twice as much, but it's likely that you would have to
pay more for all 500 channels (minus HBO, Showtime, etc.).

But I'm all in favor of 'a la carte' - I'm never going to watch the
Discovery channels, so those would be the first to go. And the whole MTV
group would likely be next (unless they're the only ones still offering
a true 'videos only' channel, and I don't get the impression they are).

Right there that nukes between 10-15 cable stations...
