I don't believe Lucas really thought it was god's will. As you noted,
he's always playing devil's advocate, and he does it very well. The
actor is quite good at having a poker face during these philosophical
discussions. He plays his character as almost an innocent, an
incredibly intelligent young man not afraid to ask any question that
comes to mind, because he's seeking truthful answers. Even if the
questions appear silly.

If it hadn't been for that dumb idea, I would've given the episode a
4.5. That was just . . . well . . . dumb. Like, nobody in the rest
of the world would notice or ask questions. Assuming the spoilers
we've read are correct, the US should be on their way to notifying
other world leaders.

And, btw, what's with the time slot change? The next episode is
*Tuesday*, November 22. Okay, I wouldn't want to schedule another
episode for Black Friday either, but what's the deal with the
following week? Anyone know?
