Because no one else will do it!
Everwood is a wonderful show because of its characters. All of the
characters in the show have purity and honesty to them. There are no
malicious people. Just people who care too much for their own good.
Although I don't think this season could ever match the quality of their
first season, I really like this show as it is.
1. Hannah and Bright. These two are a great match. Of course, what
makes them great are their differences. Hannah looked really cool with
her braids. Did they ever explain why she had them? And Bright looked so
cool caring about Hannah. I'm even beginning to like him this season! (I
always liked his character but not him).
2. Amy falls in love with a gay guy? I'm sure there's some kind of
metaphor here I just haven't grasped yet.
3. Delia is so cool and cute. They need to use her more.
4. I really loved the argument between Amy and her mother. Amy was being
protective of her mother but I can understand why her mother would hate
it.
5. Amy and Hannah have such a cool relationship. I was surprised they
brought her back because Everwood has a habit of throwing their guest
stars out after a year.
6. Hannah looked frickin' kewl with her braids! Just had to say it
again!
7. That conversation between Bright and the med student was way cool.
Especially how it's difficult to find best friends after a certain time in
life. Really poignant.
8. Scott Wolf is back? I'm surprised. Frankly, I'm getting tired of the
Nina/Andy runaround, but perhaps I shouldn't be complaining because we're
getting similar things with Amy and Ephram! But with Amy and Ephram at
least they have expressed their love for each other. I'm not sure what
there is between Nina and Andy. But perhaps that's part of the allure and
mystery of the relationship.
Final thought: is there anyone else who thinks Amy (Emily VanCamp) is the
prettiest girl in the world right now? For some reason, she looks even
prettier than last year. Her hair is wavy but not too wavy. I remember
her first year on the show she looked not as thin (ie fatter) than most
actresses her age, but I didn't mind because I hate it when actresses
start looking too thin. But another change in her is her acting. In her
first year on Everwood, her face was so expressionless. I thought the
expression was appropriate because of Amy's numbness toward what happened
to Colin. I was never sure if she really cared for Colin or if she just
wanted to go back to the life she did have with Colin. Amy seemed to be
living her life through Colin. And later on she tried to do the same
thing with Ephram. But now Amy is living a life for herself and her own
self-confidence in her actions and manner of speaking is indicative of
that. And, oh yeah, Amy is so hawt!
