There are crackpots on both sides of the aisle (for instance, those
wonderful Democrats who keep comparing Bush to Hitler, as if anything
Bush done can remotely compare to the horror of the Holocaust). Rich
and Ubi are no more responsible for Bennett's comments than you are for
some of the asinine ramblings of Howard Dean. At least Bennett doesn't
currently hold a position of power within the Republican party.
That said, Bennett is technically correct, no matter how insensitive
his comments are. African Americans are disproportionately responsible
for more crime, likely due to the fact that they are disproportionately
raised in more poverty.
