It's no wonder that Katherine and Jill have gone running to get Cane
back into their lives.  I wouldn't want to hug P3 either.  He doesn't
seem the least bit apologetic about any of his actions.  

But they didn't KNOW that until later. At the very least, JILL would
have wanted to hold the son she THOUGHT was dead all those years.
She's HIS MOTHER. The questions would have come later, but she WOULD
have hugged him.

The only
regret he seems to have is that his awesome son doesn't really have
any interest in him . . . and that may be because P3 seems to think
he's entitled to fawning, even as he abuses the fawners.

It was a lame, LAME idea to bring him back from the dead in the first
place, IMO, but his announcement that he would do it all over again
KILLED every ounce of compelling drama they COULD have gotten out of
his return. We saw NO JOY from EITHER side at being reunited again ...
NONE. So it's not only an implausible premise, they also completely
blew the opportunity to write some very compelling drama.
