: Well, I really hate to point this out, but WE are paying for part of not
: only Canada's health care, but also Europe's.
I'd have to question that.
Canada pays to bring drugs to market through the socialized healthcare
taxation of individuals, businesses, and via insurance company-paid
premiums. In addition to this, we are one of the highest income-taxed and
retail-taxed countries on the planet. ASMOF, we pay more for drugs here than
many other countries and we assist in subsidizing the poorer nations who
receive "marked at cost" and "subsidized" drugs such as malaria vaccines
sent to Africa.
Last time I looked (and I shudder when I look) my migraine medication cost
$20.00 per pill. If US people are helping me pay for this, please kick it up
a notch.
