When Jack decides to send Parker away to boarding school (using
Parker's own trust fund to boot), Parker and Liberty run away.  With
Craig's help, they get the kids back, but Jack is more determined to
send him away.  So Parker gets a lawyer who freezes the use of the
trust fund so Jack can't use that money.

I don't understand how Jack would have had access to the trust fund in
the first place. I'm assuming this is a trust fund that Hal set up for
Parker?

No. Rosanna said she'd pay Carly $50 million to get pregnant and be
married to the father at the time of the baby's birth (which also had
to be before January 1, 1999). Carly got the money, but since Hal
turned out to be the father and not John Dixon, Rosanna took the money
back and put it in a trust fund for Parker. It was a really fun
storyline and Carly was really fun too back then, and Jack and Carly
were romantic and not just obnoxious/destructive to each other. I'm
shocked that they remembered it.

Strikes me as pretty contrived. Ergo, I don't care.

Craig finds out that Lucy has been letting Dusty see Johnny so he
disowns her.  Carly talks Craig into giving Lucy another chance.  Lucy
continues to scheme to get Johnny away from Craig and to Dusty.

There's no realistic way Craig would have gotten custody in the first
place. If the judge found Dusty to be unreliable because he lied about
Meg's divorce (or whatever that plot point was), there are other
options than awarding the kid to Craig, who has such a track record as
to keep any judge from awarding him custody of a gerbil, much less a
kid. The kid would have ended up in foster care or something. Utterly
contrived, all of it. I don't care.

Henry tries to spoil V's attempt to get pregnant with Brad's baby, but
he is unable to and V. is inseminated.

I don't understand this one at all. Unbelievably contrived. I don't
care.

Luke is still feeling out of sorts after everything that has
happened.   The Snyders and Noah think Luke should go back to school,
but Luke's not feeling it.

He's not going to get back in another school this quickly when he was
just expelled last fall--not even with all that Walsh money, most
likely. I watched a few weeks ago when Holden was laying into him on
this very issue--he ought to be finding another university to attend
instead of running around playing detective. Though I agree about the
detective business, I had to laugh at Holden's suggestion. Completely
unrealistic. Eventually some school will take Luke--probably--but any
reputable school is going to require some time away after the
expulsion, in order for Luke, at a minimum, to grow up some. But then,
Holden never went to college, so what would he know about it?

Another hilarious bit from that same show (since I forgot to post
about it when it happened): Luke and company come back to Casa Snyder
after Holden makes Luke and Noah go to the police station and chat
with Margo, and Holden is yelling at Luke because he doesn't think
Luke is grateful enough to Margo, who could have thrown him in jail,
because after all "you tampered with evidence." Oh. My. God. Within
recent memory, Lily hid Dusty's gun when Dusty was under suspicion for
murdering Cherie, and Holden hid that syringe when Lily was under
suspicion for mudering Dusty (a lot of murdering going on in Oakdale
these last few years, if you think about it, even for a soap). And
Holden is going to get all self-righteous with Luke about tampering
with evidence? I had to turn the television off.

But after a visit from Brian Wheatley and
then he and Noah experience housing discrimination, Luke sets his life
(and the foundation) on a new course.  On April 1, Zac and Zoe Finn
arrive in town to help Luke with the foundation.  At some point, Luke
gets in a car accident.  And Damien shows up too.

Sadly, I no longer care what happens to Luke. His behavior during this
silly amateur detective plot of recent weeks was the last straw for
me. He's tiresome, and furthermore, I realized I have no idea
whatsoever why he and Noah are together, as they have practically no
chemistry at all.

With great regret, I no longer care.

Meg and Dusty sleep together and start dating, which drives Paul
crazy.  He comes up with yet another scheme to get Meg to come back to
him.

Oh, goody, another plot with Paul scheming to get Meg back. I *so*
don't care. (And if Rosanna's rumored return involves her being caught
up in this mess, I will be appalled.)

Matt wants Ali to go away with him and she agrees.  But after she
finds out that Em paid Jade to keep Casey away from her, she confronts
Jade.... just as she's about to shag Casey (on Em's orders).  The
girls fight, Casey finds out the truth, dumps Jade and tells Em to
stay out of his business.  Meanwhile, Ali gives Matt the boot.  Casey
and Ali decide to try again.

Ali and Casey are cute together, but this is all a lot of rushing
around for pretty much nothing. Didn't Em dump Casey for Dusty? What
happened with that? In any case, she needs to go find somebody else.
Another plot about which I don't care.

Will somebody please ask the writers to write some stories worth
caring about?
