I've ALWAYS liked Crystal Hunt. I *still* have problems, even now, with
"Nu"Lizzie (although she HAS grown on me a LOT since she first started).

I wonder if Hunt is going to be a recast Jen? I saw the actress on an
episode of OLTL this week in some sort of flashback scene, IIRC, and I
was STUNNED to see her. When I saw her, I thought it might have been a
previously aired eppy of OLTL, but it looked new.

I believe I read that Jennifer Morris was actually returning. But, maybe that
was incorrect.

I find it utterly unwatchable now. Of course, I've watched it off & on since
the 70s. If you go, even if you haven't experienced any of the show history,
just know that a woman's rapist kept her locked up from the world, with
amnesia, trying to make her fall in love with him.

And FTR, the woman's rapist is the character that FauxPaul on ATWT used
to play on OLTL. Quite frankly, since I don't like Trevor St. John AT
ALL as Todd Manning (he's just NOT Todd Manning at all, in my eyes, but
interestingly [perhaps oddly] enough, I could envision St. John as Paul
Stenbeck Ryan on ATWT without stretching my imagination to the point
where I would hurt myself), I would much rather that Roger Howarth just
go back to where he came from instead of watching his dreck on ATWT.

I'll just have to agree to disagree. I have, basically, enjoyed Roger Howarth
in everything I've seen him in which is 4 shows, I think. All of his
characters have been discrete to me. But, I've seen Trevor St. John in one
movie & in OLTL & I find him to be a very very limited actor. Plus, I couldn't
see him as Paul! He was younger in the movie & I can't even imagine that St.
Todd as younger Paul!!

I've thought that, too, that I could see St. John as Paul easier than
Howarth. I'm all for a trade!

And, it's a story that began in July & keeps on going!!! Incredibly disgusting.

It is disgusting, but I have a feeling that since Todd is being played
by someone other than RH these days, TIIC at OLTL felt that they could
get away with that sort of nonsense (a rape survivor getting this
attached to her rapist, I mean). They seem to be just that stupid.

I've only caught bits and pieces, so I've missed many details. Does
Marty not remember being raped, just believes what she has been told,
read the transcripts, that sort of thing, but can't actually remember
the event?

She did not remember it. She knows now, as of fairly recently. When Todd had
her in isolation from everyone & everything she only had Todd as a source for
her lost memory.

I think you are right that TIIC think they can get away with it, after
all, with a different actor, there's no chance of showing the original
ep in flashback. Because if they showed the original gang-rape,
there'd be no possible way to make this pairing work. That was one
horrific rape sequence. What really sickens me is the number of people
who post on the Youtube clips of these very scenes that they *still*
support a Marty-Todd pairing.

They have said all sorts of things about it. They don't think it is something
to get away with. They think it is incredible edgy drama. Sheesh.
