Victor couldn't believe what ADAM ended up doing. What a lovely son!
No reason why he should just demote him and let him stay at the house.
His actions in Victor's absence made his motives clear despite his
PATHETIC reference to having thought he just lost *both* of his parents.
Puhleeze. What he did was HARDLY out of grief! Victor had no reason to
slap him on the wrist and let him stay, in the company or in his home.
And so we have the beginning of a new permanent villain for Victor to foil with, along with 'Jackabbott'. I can foresee Jack regaining control of Jabot with Gloria once the SEC kicks the Chancellors to the curb for their knowledge of Chow's gambling and I can foresee Adam being offered a job as CEO of Jabot, if for no other reason than to severely piss off Victor, as Jack will still be calling all the shots in the background.
I can also foresee an 'alliance of evil' with Jack, Adam and Brad (whereas Brad will probably now get the boot seeing as how Victor is back). I think Adam did get the 'sh*t end of the stick' when Victor dismissed him without fully understanding that Neil went past Adam to rehire Victoria (who, until the day before, had been working for the competition), made her CEO by a 'fixed' vote just to piss off Adam (and then Neil wonders why he was fired - any self-respecting incoming
corporate head would have done the same and fired him for that stunt). I know I would have, if I were in Adam's situation.
Then Michael (with his smarmy smile) gleefully volunteered the information that the ranch was under the ownership of NE in case Vicki wanted to be a further prick (like she ended up being), besides rubbing it in Adam's face that she was now his boss (even though she had quit the company when the going got tough) and that she was now ordering Adam out of his 'invited' (by their father) home. Nick stood by, grinning, like an idiot. And everyone wonders why Adam did what he did. Think about it.
After everything that went down when Victor went missing (by presumably going down), I don't blame Adam, in the least, for his actions (and reactions). Sure, Adam was ambitious and, when faced with a sudden windfall of incredible money and power, went 'stupid', and tried to effect change much too fast, everything he doled out to Neil, Michael, Nick, Vicki etc; they all deserved big time. I only feel for Zapato, as I am an animal lover, and I don't believe he should have been sent to the kennel. Had all the rest been sent to the kennel; that, I could have lived with. :-)
With Adam's treatment by Victor, thus is born a new major villain; albeit tragic and not of his own choosing, but because he was unfairly shafted. But then, isn't that the way a lot of villains are born?
My 2 cents again.
