Does anyone watch anymore??
Reva's facing a medical crisis again, several people now know that
Alan's got a clot in his brain that may be the cause of his visions,
Dinah and Alan are in cahoots to take get Spaulding away from Bill,
Olivia and Buzz had a very sweet scene, Cyrus is hanging around Cassie
enough to make me wonder if he might get together with Cassie, Grady
(I know, he's a lame substitute for Jon) is back to his old tricks,
which wil get Daisy into deep trouble, Rafe is back, Beth is studying
law.
I'n not fond of the use of music on this show. There are many times
when the feel of the song is not appropriate for the feeling of the
scene and times when there is singing that competes with dialoque that
we need to hear. Musical montages, like Friday when Bill and Lizzie
were tooling around NYC, work fine, but they are using song lyrics
when there should be dialogue, but there can't be dialogue when they
can apparently only afford to have one character in a scene. It's
irritating to see someone like, say, Cyrus, repairing a roof with
lyrics expressing his feelings, when in the old days, there'd be a
discussion with another character that revealed these things.
The outside shoots, though, are often very effective. There was a
scene just the other day where Daisy and Grady were sitting by a
babbling brook talking about Rafe and while I hate the storyline, it
was a beautiful spot and seemed like exactly the kind of place real
people would go to talk. It was a lot better than a year ago, when
characters would have these discussions in the hospital hallway, or an
empty exam room, or the Beacon hallway.
I'm torn between appreciating the fact that the writers understand
that people talk about their dearly departed for years after the death
and being depressed that much of the action centers around characters
that are no longer on the screen. Cassie, Grady, and Daisy are still
tied to Tammy. Cyrus is still in town waiting for Harley, Alan,
Natalia, Rafe, and Olivia are still tied to Gus. Lizzie story is still
tied to Jonathan and Sarah and the writers are stuck, because Lizzie
isn't going to leave town, but isn't going to turn in Alan (something
that might get Sarah back), because Alan isn't leaving the show. So,
she never moves forward.
Anyway, that's my rant for the day. Anybody want to discuss? Anyone?
Bueller?

I have two things to say. I don't understand why Sarah ( Lizzie's
daughter ) can't be with her mom. I know Alan blah, blah, blah, but the
story makes no sense. And the other thing, don't you think Grady looks like
John Cleese?
