My mom watches daily. I FF through most of it except for today when I
watched it air.
My mom's reaction in that one scene was, "God! Look how old she got!"
I noticed it only in that one scene.

Lighting has a LOT to do with how facial features project onscreen.
That particular scene was not lit well at all.



Also, they are using extreme closeups that are shaking and annoying.
A closeup is good but an extreme closeup is a bit too much.

I think they have a good mastery of the handhelds of their indoor & outdoor
space and of putting audio to the new kinds of shots they are framing. Of
course, I've never been a fan of symmetrical framing, all the time.

Never do an extreme closeup on Kim Zimmer.

Also, in this new version why does the cast look like they suddenly
gained 25-30 pounds?

I don't think they do. Again, have you been watching the show? KZ decided a
few years ago just to quit trying to lose all the weight. And, she is &
always has been a sun worshipper, which eventually shows up on one's face.

Wasn't referring to KZ but to Josh, Alan, a few other characters
except for the overweight girl who looked 50-70 pounds overweight in
this particular episode.

Most of it reminded me how bad all of our home video productions are.

But it's different so I'm sticking to it since I already like the show
anyway.
