Actually, I think the opposite. I think LML tolerates and encourages
this off-script stuff (witness Kevin and Daniel and "Brah").

I think the story lies here somewhere with Rowell's departure.

Rowell said publically she had NO PROBLEM with LML. On the other
hand, she left because of a lack of creative control (she even wanted
to control the color of the Winters' walls), the desire to write the
show, the desire to increase minority representation, which she saw
shrinking (some people interpreted this as an especial dig at the
rehiring of Khalil when Rowell clearly favored Davetta Sherwood), and
the Emmy pre-nom snub. All of these issues were directly mentioned by
Rowell in her many press interviews.

Shemar Moore also mentioned in his interviews that Rowell was THE
reason he came back last time...she helped broker the deal.

Ergo..Moore's friend Rowell is gone...so is he.

Don't rule out that this is part of the reason sister Olivia is mostly
gone too.


Whatever the reason Olivia is gone, I hope it stays that way!!! Her last few years on the show were dreadful - the doctor who's the specialist on every medical case GC had, Brad/Ashley, etc. It seemed that when Nathan died (and the AIDS story) the character got lost in the shuffle and the actress was mailing in her performance. So, I hope they don't resurrect Olivia.
