I thought about why I keep watching. Maybe a little bit of it is I
think it might get better, but most of it is I like talking about the
show with friends in and out of RATSC.

That's become an important phenomenon for a number of people on here
and on other discussion boards about soaps. I kept watching As the
World Turns for years because it was enjoyable to get on here and talk
about it with people who had become my cyberbuds, and when I finally
quit, I didn't have soap withdrawal, but I did have RATSC withdrawal.

It's just a pity, to me, that the Internet explosion didn't come along
about a decade (or 15 years, or even more) sooner than it did. I would
have *loved* to have had access to a group like RATSC back when soaps
were really, really good and there wasn't so much legitimate stuff to
complain about.

I, OTOH, am so very, very grateful that this Greek chorus did not
exist during "Who Killed Carolyn Crawford?"
