Rosanna is the most recent character to go into "Huh? What?" territory
for me, so maybe one of you can explain to me what's supposed to be
going on with her. OK, so she fought Craig on the idea that Paul was
not over Meg, which made perfect sense, as Craig is certainly very
comfortable with lying when it suits his purpose and he has a whopper
of a purpose this time, but then she needed more security (because
Craig was right and she had noticed something between Paul and Meg)
and she hired a private eye (and how hilarious that within just a few
hours, Meg and Paul complied by having that touching scene in Old
Town, where Paul oh-so-conveniently told Rosanna he was going--more
strange pacing to adjust to the needs of the plot). OK, fine, I
followed all of that and I understood all of that and bought it (well,
except for the pacing) with no problem. So now Rosanna knows there's
still something between Meg and Paul--she doesn't know what it is, but
I think she can see from the video that there's *something* still
there--and her solution is apparently going to be to try to hang on to
Paul, to the point of ordering Craig to impregnate Meg so that Paul
and Meg will not gravitate back to each other? Didn't she just have a
line about how *Meg* had no pride?
Even with trying to cut her some slack because she's so recently out
of a coma (and I've done that quite a bit up until now, because that's
how I've accounted for her willingness to believe Paul when it's
seemed obvious that he's holding something back or not telling her
everything), I don't get this. She's just gotten some pretty clear
evidence that Paul can't be trusted to tell her everything. From that,
she's apparently going to conclude that Paul's feelings for Meg are a
threat, one sufficient to motivate her to enlist Craig's help in
keeping the two apart. Did Rosanna change sufficiently in the time
that I was not watching to make her the kind of person who would
choose to stay with someone whose straightforwardness she could not
trust? Did she become the kind of person who would want to hang on to
somebody whose *feelings* she felt she had reason to doubt? I'm just
baffled.
I really expected her to pretty much dump Paul once she figured out he
still had feelings for Meg, so I'm perplexed and am pretty much going
to chalk this up to "plot drives character" unless somebody has a
better explanation.

There isn't one. Ro has never been a needy, pathetic woman who would
do anything to hold on to a man, nor was she the type of woman who put
up with a man playing her for a fool. I've always seen her as one of
ATWT's stronger women, that's why I hate seeing her like this. The Ro
I knew would kick Paul to the curb when she learned what he did
regarding the baby switch or at least be shocked and upset. She has
had men take her child away from her (Paul's father in fact). I would
think learning what Paul did would remind her of that. So for her to
stay with him when she knows he has feelings for another woman is just
astounding (just like I don't understand why Meg is still with Craig,
it makes no sense). It's out of character and this is not the Ro I
used to love so much.
