Now, David--play nice. <g>

At least the OP would get an education on a.s.childfree, one that
might do her some genuine, true-to-life good.

Karen

I'm not seeing how. Isn't that group for ppl who are voluntarily
child-free? How would this woman's experience relate to that? And what
"education" could they give her that would do her any good at this point
in
her life? She is happily having her first child, and (please don't flame
me, I'm just going on what I've read here previously about that group)
isn't
alt.support.childfree a bit, um, hostile toward "breeders"?

I can see that maybe she posted in the wrong forum here for what she's
seeking, but then again, maybe she thought she'd find other first-time
moms
in a soap opera group. It's not that far-fetched an assumption. Maybe
a
bit outdated, but not totally wrong.

D.

I'm thinking that, in her blissfully unaware state of pre-motherhood,
she *is* probably in the wrong place, and I have to wonder what made
her post here in particular. Still, there are lessons to be learned
there about how a portion of the world views children. I think she
should know.

Exactly. Her wide-eyed, joyous state of mind is not shared by
*everyone*, so I thought I'd offer her up to the gentle souls at
alt.support.childfree for a little "attitude adjustment". Heh.

David, tongue firmly in cheek

I've been on ascf for years, though I haven't posted for the last few
months. They'd eat her up. No, we are not amused with your hellspawn. We
do not think it is cute, entertaining or clever.
