That's what I get for trying to fix what wasn't broken.

Has Free Agent been updated to work with Windoze Vista (I actually had
to go look up the name of the new OS! Go figure...)?

If not, Microplanet Gravity is better freeware than Free Agent, IMVHO.

Enlighten me. Why?
Pros

Filters. They are more customizable and easier to work with than
Agent's filters, IMVHO. I just find Gravity more user-friendly than I
find Agent... plus, and I know this is superficial, to me, Gravity
*looks* better than Agent. It's just more of an attractive piece of
software, but then again, that's not what software is for... to look
pretty, I mean.

Freeware. The folks that designed Gravity discontinued tech support
for the software some number of years ago. Thus, they did one more
release, and made the software freeware. When I bought Gravity (about
8-10 years ago now, I think), it was a $30 piece of software, IIRC,
and I was willing to pay that at the time, because I wanted filters (I
had also not heard about Agent at that time, otherwise I may have gone
with Agent instead, merely because it's got the e-mail client as
well). Free Agent does NOT do filters, or e-mail, either, I think
(see below).

Easily configurable. You can set up filters, sigs, how you view your
panes (much like Agent, I'll concede), Binaries are easy to decode
(esp. pics) and launch.

- Cons?

Gravity does not do e-mail, and Agent does do e-mail. Yes, Gravity
will do a "posted and e-mailed" operation, but Gravity will NOT
retrieve e-mail - and Agent will. Agent will also not send e-mail
unless you are replying to a post at the same time.

Oops... this SHOULD actually read "GRAVITY will also not send e-mail
unless you are replying to a post at the same time."

Sorry if my sloppiness confused anyone. I guess I'm sicker than I
thought.
