Jade's bedroom has already been shown and she moved all of her stuff
there, not just some of it.


They never had any dialogue about it in the beginning.

Some of the dialogue about people being there while Emma was gone was 'in
the beginning'. >

Emma being gone was talked about but not as if that was the reason why
anybody moved in.
Jack was staying there because Carly kicked him out. When she left,
the kids had to go there with him. So they are not there because Emma
was gone.

Brad showed up out of nowhere and Jack said he had to clear it with
Emma first before he could stay.

Then within the next few weeks, Lily's entire family is living there.

It wasn't established that they were moving in because of the reasons
you mention below. No reason was ever established.


As for as their needing to stay at Emma's while she was away, I
thought Brad was already staying there, Vienna was in the beginning
before taking up with Henry, as was Jack and Meg.

Of course, you wouldn't trust Brad to take care of anything that needed
taking care of. And, Holden, or someone in his stead, has to be out there
regularly, anyway, for the horses. Vienna was a guest. It's been quite a
while since Meg lived there. And, Jack has his hands full with his own job &
kids & life.

No mentioning of it in the story makes me wonder if they did not do
away with Lily and Holden's house altogether due to possible cut
backs. I find it hard to believe that there is this big elaborate set
sitting there no longer being used for the past 2 months.

That's not the way sets are, period. They reconstruct the set when they are
scheduled to shoot on it. Although in the Brooklyn studio, they might have
room for one set to be up most of the time. >

Except Lilden has been set up none of the time.
The home was shown more when Martha Byrne was hardly on the show
compared to now when she's back full time.

They are undoubtedly using the sets that they are (and not the ones they
aren't) for the sake of efficiency, sure. >

Meaning for the sake of cutbacks of paying to constantly having it set
up?
However that still does not explain why the script writer's have never
established exactly why Holden and Lily are staying there to begin
with. They just suddenly moved the whole family there including Jade
with no firm explanation at all like, "This is their new home
everybody. Don't ask any questions. Just accept it."

Just how many rooms does Emma's farmhouse have?

There has to be one for the following people:

1. Emma
2. Jack
3. Parker and JJ
4. whatever Carly's daughter's name is (unless she shares it with her
brothers)
5. Jade (already been shown she has her own room when Gwen & Maddy
broke into it)
6. Lily & Holden
7. Luke
8. Faith and Natalie
9. Brad (or did he move out?)
