Anyway, I been jamming out like all hell lately. Can someone identify this
song and artist? Don't click the click. It's the "put a smile on your face
make the world a better place" that keeps looping. I love this beat! I want
to hear the whole song.

The song is "Smile" by Vitamin C:

Thank you so much!
Oh geez, 30 years ago, I lost the big V in Daytona Beach, FL. Shame on me.
It's all Boone's Farms' fault. (: Spring break is definite soap stuff. I
don't remember ever hearing about it.
LOL! .. 30 years ago I went to Ft. Lauderdale on spring break, and
wound up staying for twenty years. Back then, it was even wilder than
Daytona. My first job there was working at the Tradewinds Hotel. It was
right in the middle of the beach and often filled with rowdy college
kids from places like Minnesota. A few years later the hotel served as
a backdrop for one of the Porky's movies before it was torn down. The
Tradewinds was once a very pretty art deco hotel like those on Miami's
South Beach which have now all been beautifully restored. In it's place
they built a huge, hideous condo/shopping center thing.
I hate when they do that. There's too much of it going on down there. My cuz is in Tampa and that's all you see. I like seeing the old ones restored. Beautiful old archtecture for sure.
To me, Ft. Lauderdale in recent years has become an awful place,
clogged with horrible traffic and people who aren't very nice or much
fun because they're all trying to be something they're not. I stll like
to drive to Florida for a few weeks in the winter, but now I go camping
in the Everglades instead and have a lot more fun!
I haven't been camping in awhile. I love it. Back in the day, my ex and I would hop in the car and just drive til we found some nice little quiet place. We often times just hung out at the Little Miami River as there was always plenty of driftwood around to keep a fire going for days. We'd take a cooler full of beer/pop and dogs. It was very peaceful and serene.
These days, dancing is my biggest passion. Although I usually swim,
bike, or do some other kind of exercise every day, dancing on Saturday
night is my biggest workout of the week, I can be not feeling good,
tired, muscles aching, etc., but if I just drag myself onto that
dancefloor, within a couple of minutes it's as though I've been
injected with some powerful drug. My body seems able to directly take
the sound energy eminating from the speakers and capture it. I become
helpless, and will dance for hours until the music stops.
Does chair dancing at work count? :)
