I'm tweaked because I don't remember another sexual assault other than
Marshall and this new guy since I've been watching (starting with spotty
viewing in '02.) Have I forgotten something?

To my mind it would be equally racist to pretend that black men never
commit sexual assault. But yeah, for all the sexual predators to be
black men is disturbing, to say the least.

Did they say that Dallas sexual assaulted Maddie? I thought they were
hinting at it. I only 'saw' yesterday's show via podcast. I was
assuming that Maddie was assaulted and Dallas was the cop who
investigated or was involved with the case.



I very much hope that's the case, but Maddie's acting like she's scared of the guy.

At this point we don't know why Maddie is freaking out about Dallas. Hell,
we don't have concrete proof (nor, apparently, does Maddie) that she was raped.
However, going with 'Maddie was raped in the past' is the way to bet from what
we have been shown so far.
But Dallas Griffin does not have to have had anything directly to do with it.
It could be that Dallas was the rapist's roommate, or someone she associates
with the party (I'm thinking an underdosage of one of the date-rape-drugs rather
than event dissociation for why Maddie is having the flashbacks but cannot seem
to get it together enough to figure out for her own self that she was raped and that's
why she's having issues with Casey...but maybe that's just the fanfic writer extrapolating
how *I* would do it if I was writing this).
However the one thing that *does* make me think maybe Dallas was more involved with
the event than I would like to think is because of the arch 'down the nose' look he gave
to Maddie when they first met. That's intimidation pure and simple right there: that look
is meant to make the recipient feel like a bug about to be squashed (I had teachers who
employed that look for no earthly reason than they could make you sit down and shut
up if they used it properly (assuming you were paying attention)).
