I agree with much of what you say. You should never point a gun at
someone though unless you expect to use it. I think Tom's response was
the wrong one, but sometimes people panic when a gun is pointed at
them. Bottom line: I don't think John is guilty of murder, but I do
think he is guilty of playing a role in Tom's homicide. That doesn't
mean he'll be convicted though.
