I don't think that he got the gun to kill tom. He got the gun to protect
his family if tom showed up.
Also, I don't think he took his gun planning to kill tom that night. Yes
he did point it at him. But I don't think anyone can prove that he was
going to kill tom. Tom lept forward and john was saying no the whole
time.
I'm just curious who will go to trial, ashley or john?
I really can't imagine that a jury would convict john. He is such a good
man, who was trying to protect his family from a violent creep. Plus
since tom lept forward at him and made the gun go off, you can't really
prove what john's intent was or what would have happened.
