Well, yeah. I bout threw my Gabapentin bottle at the screen. I gotta say,
her eyes are very expressful, although quite creepy. Her makeup today was bad.

Niki, if I may ask, what do you take gabapentin for? I took it for
awhile, and stopped, due to side effects. Please e-mail me at this
address if you'd prefer.

I'll tell ya. ;-) I woke up Thanksgiving weekend Sunday and my left pinky and half my ring finger and the chicken bone part of my palm were numb. I coulda stuck a needle thru it and not felt it. I thought it was carpal tunnel. Everything I read about CTS said "not including the pinky and ring finger". So I looked up hand nerves. Once I hit this site, I had my answer. It's highly ironic, my funnybone (how I got the name nikibone) is broke.

Within 15 minutes and 2 phone calls that following Tuesday, I had an appointment for Thursday. I was fully expecting to be referred for an ulnar nerve snip. The doc is wonderful. He reminds me of that guy on Waiting to Exhale who had his way with Lela Rashon. He's a cutie. A couple of thumps on my funnybone and taps on my hand and $330 later, he confirmed my diagnosis. My appt. was at 8a and I clocked into work at 915a. Not bad. I go back this Thursday for an EMG. A needle in the muscle and zzaaaaapppppp. It's a nerve conduction study. I have ulnar nerve entrapment.

Thankfully, I have no muscle "wasting". I was surprised this can be treated with medication. If I now stuck a needle on my finger, I'd scream. Meds are slow, but the assistant said within 3 weeks I should be feeling some relief. And I am. It's still numb, but nowhere near the way it was. I just got my first refill and had a total of 6 months worth. 3 a day. 300mg each. I have no side effects. I can "feel" the nerve in my hand relaxing and stretching. It's a weird feeling but at least there is feeling.

Depending on what happens this Thursday with the EMG, we'll go from there. I think I'll take my cam and see if I can get some pics.

Thanks for asking RH. That's very kind of you. What were your side effects from gabapentin? It is after all, neurontin. The list can be quite scary for sure.
