There is a lot of plot running around in the two hours; they were introducing a new plot element every couple of seconds. It'll be interesting to see how they cram it all into one.


I was surprised at how
much the kids were just like Nate, David and Claire from 6 Feet Under.

Yes, Peter and the girl (whose name I can't recall) are much like David and Claire. But I don't think the Chinese kid is like Nate at all. Too mean spirited.


And the Christian Campbell character was so sad, to run around spending
money on a woman just to please his grandfather, and so ashamed of
himself.


His insistence that he's not in the closet (when in fact he is as he's pretending to date a woman) is rather sad and I'm not sure why he's doing it given that the people around him are so supportive. I wonder if it has something to do with his relationship with his ex-boyfriend. Hopefully we'll learn more later.
