Perhaps I wasn't paying attention, but do Amanda and Jake plan on
taking the baby home to Pine Valley themselves; as a trio? I guess a
baby wouldn't need a passport, but couldn't David find out that 3 came
into the U.S. and to Pine Valley? Did Amanda and Jake think they could
stroll into P.V., have Amanda say a last good-bye to SweetPea and
think Jake was going to hand off to the baby to the adoptive parents
waiting there to take home to whereer that is (actually, to Liza,
unbeknown to Amanda)?

Perhaps suspicious, but shouldn't Amanda and Jake go travel to another
country -- say, Switzerland -- after the baby's born for the pass-off?
Liza would go sneak off unnoticed (or if so, maybe a business trip?)
and meet Jake  there. She could return w/ her baby and say she went
into labour and had a baby (or while on business trip if further
enquired). With David grief-stricken [as well as his hobby on the
side, if you've been following the spoiler with Nurse Walker], he may
not notice she went into labor wherever it may be.

Jake and Amanda weren't planning on bringing the baby home. The plan
has been to go off (as they did) and say the baby died. There was a
moment there that Amanda had second thoughts about giving it up for
adoption but she snapped out of it.

As for how Amanda won't notice this new baby of Liza's looking exactly
like the one she gave up, that's a different story altogether.
