Re: AMC - Resurrections 'R' Us

I figured I ought to answer my own questions.

No surprise here; I'd bring back Will, using the fanwank I already wrote for
him some years ago: some nefarious business enemies of Palmer kidnapped him,
held him prisoner somewhere in the Far East, and sent back a
meticulously-trained and surgically-altered lookalike. The lookalike had
psychological problems and went crazy while he was here, engaging in all of
the bad things Will did after some point (for instance, from Gloria's rape
onward). So the plot against Palmer collapsed when they lost their plant,
but they never let RealWill out.

The new chapter of the story could be that Will gets out in some dramatic
fashion -- maybe with the help of the CIA who were investigating something
completely unrelated, and they found him imprisoned -- and he comes back to
Pine Valley. He hears from Palmer about everything that's happened in his
absence. And...he teams up with Adam to make Tad's life miserable for his
transgressions against Dixie and JR.

I kind of like the symmetry of Will working with Adam again. Adam's the one
who hired him to lure Hayley away from Brian. And, I am _so_ thoroughly sick
of JR giving Adam a hard time for whatever his weekly sin is while giving Tad
a _complete_ pass for aiding Babe and Krystal in the kidnapping of A3 (to say
nothing of his telling JR that Dixie wouldn't have wanted him to raise A3,
either -- UGH!!!). It really is time that someone rained some consequences
down on the House of Martin, and who better than Will and Adam?

I'm also imagining that somewhere along the line, JR sees the error of his
ways and wants back into the family bosom. He could team up with his dad and
his Uncle Will and finally STOP taking Tad's ***! I think the three of them
would make a nice triumvirate of 'gray' characters. Of course, they'd be
totally justified in taking revenge on Tad, but probably they'd get up to
some interesting mischief in other areas as well. Seriously, when's the last
time we had a good-looking, smart, core-family, true 'gray' character on the
canvas? And it's not like James Patrick Stuart is too busy! ;-)

One thing I don't recall ever seeing is a returned-from-the-dead character
visit their own grave. That's something I'd love to see!
