A friend has been watching the ABC show Men in Trees on her computer
via the internets.
In the last week or two that won't work. In fact it freezes the
computer iirc.
She uses Firefox but has tried IE and it hasn't worked any
differently.
She can still watch NBC tv on her computer, so it seems like
soemthing
is different about ABC.
She has Windows XP and a Dell computer.
Do you know how to fix this?
Do you know a better newsgroup?
Do you know how she can reach ABC to tell them of her problem.
She's
looked for a Contact Us link, etc. but can't find anything.
I don't have highspeed so I can't help her directly.

I couldn't see it in Firefox or IE, either. Then I clicked on the
link
to launch the media player (because I COULDN'T click on any of th
elinks
to the shows on the Full Episodes page). Apparently I had to install
the latest flashplayer in IE. THEN I had to install ABC's Move Media
Player. After that, I was able to play Men In Trees. Then I tried
the
same thing in Firefox and had to go through the same process (I
didn't
have to install the latest flashplayer, but I DID have to install the
Move Media Player). (I'm running Win XP)
I posted the answer because I'm sure that anyone else who tries to
watch
ANY full episodes on ABC may run into the same problem.

I'm with you on that. I love being able to watch online too. I don't
have a
DVR anymore so I have had to stop watching some shows altogether since
I
can't get them online and they come on at an inconvenient time. I
really
need to buy my own TiVo.

I use both my Tivo and online viewing quite a bit. I watched Ugly
Betty online because my Tivo tapes Smallville. This summer I have
been watching Brothers and Sisters online because I didn't watch it
during the year. It's great that the major networks wised up and put
their most popular shows online.

Now that would help me a lot. I used to have two dvr's that recorded two
shows at a time and I would still have the occasional show I would have to
watch online or just miss. My husband got a bit tired of never being able to
watch tv and I will admit it was getting out of hand. When we moved I
decided to go DVR free to save some money and I am going crazy. I hate
commercials and half the shows that I want to start watching this fall I
probably won't be able to see. I really need to quit complaining and be
grateful I have cable lol.
