Of course they can say "internet,." That was just Tad being jokey, the

way that a lot of people jokingly call it "the internets" since Bush made

Yeah, but "interweb" and "the internets" are specifically used by people who
_do_ know what they're talking about to sound like they _don't_ know what
they're talking about, in an ironic way.
