This is a time that I'm really enjoying the drama, actually. AMC has
always
been great at portraying family connections -- at least, before the recent
reign of McTravesty -- and they are really shining in this. Erica finally
accepting Zach as her son-in-law, Kendall and Erica bonding, Zach getting
a
call from Myrtle (who might as well be family), Zach and Kendall propping
each other up...heck, I'm even enjoying Annie and Ryan's scenes, mostly --
CM
is much better at this kind of quiet anguish, and seems to be eschewing
most
of the face rubbing and whisper shouting. The only stuff of his that has
made me cringe in this storyline was purely the writers' fault: I thought
his
lines about "They cut my boy open...they opened him up...they CUT him"
over
and over to Annie were just...odd.

I loved the call from Myrtle to Zach.. it was like a call from mom for
support.. it was really cool
