Did anything happen to Little Phillip (who later changed his name to

Not as an infant, but there was an extensive story line about Little
Phillip's asthma problems, with Tara trying to learn more about the
disease and showing the real-life situations faced by families of kids
who live with illness. Back in the days when "real life" was
considered in story lines, and the show tried to explore characters
in on a real-life basis. Now it's just so over-the-top "fantasy"
lives, it has little relation to RL.

It's almost as if the writers think there's not enough drama in
everyday lives. Let's see some characters who have RL issues...someone
obese dealing with health issues related to that, smokers trying to
quit, some child who is less-than-perfect and how the family
struggles. Lily is a good example of a family dealing with a
disability, but she's hardly typical -- most families don't have such
rich resources (not just money, but education, and also the luxury of
dealing with the disease in 10-minute on-camera increments, not day-in
and day-out!) ("Quick! The UPS man is coming to the door with a red
box! Head him off before Lily sees it and we spend all afternoon
trying to calm her down again! I have other things I need to do
today!")
