Could it be, oh, I dunno, something to do with the near-fatal car accident
where he was thrown out of the car and his car-seat after the car plummeted
headlong down a ravine and smashed on the rocks below? I mean, I'm just
sayin'... :-D


Actually, according to spoilers, it's not Spike that's going to need heart
surgery -- it's the new baby, Ian. Just when they think he's out of the
woods, it turns out he has a hole in his heart and needs surgery.

Apparently, the writers think that making Kendall and Zach as miserable and
distraught as possible will be entertaining for us!
