AMC - Why, oh why, oh why....

Why would Ryan ask JACK for advice about parenting?? Lily has spent most of
her childhood in boarding schools; Reggie was adopted as a teen; and he
didn't know Greenlee until she was an adult. I'm not saying Jack is doing a
bad job - just that it makes NO sense whatsover for Ryan to ask him for
parenting advice!
