They did give Flea an excuse for not being there at Tony's service. Would it
have been too much trouble to have her show up to support Frisco's brother's
family?
That bothered me *a lot.* Tony was always
very good to Felicia, and they've remained close.
I know she's Mariah's only family, so I guess the
excuse probably holds up, but it seemed very
wrong not to have her there. He was her two
daughters' uncle, and, as mentioned several times,
the man who saved Maxie's life by allowing the
heart transplant.
I may be a softee, but I really did like it when Luke said, at Tony's service,
to Carly:
"You didn't let me finish. I was going to say, I'm surprised to see you here,
but I'm glad you came."
Luke was my favorite part of the funeral, both
in the way he treated Carly, and in what he said
about Tony (although Luke always gives good
eulogy). Like Luke said -- he doesn't respect
many people, and his feelings toward Tony were
a great reflection of what the fans were feeling in
saying good-bye to him.
Courtney's funeral, OTOH -- I'm just relieved
she's gone. It only made an unfortunate contrast
in that one of the best things about Tony's funeral
was Sonny not being involved.
