Myself, I never saw the appeal of the guy. The character would be okay if a
good actor was playing him, but TC has ALWAYS been like this. On a show
with people like Nora, Bo, Duke, Kelly, Kevin, and Michael (among others),
an overacted character REALLY stands out. He's always been this
larger-than-life, cold, slithery, mysterious, ee-vil person, and *I* have
personally never cared for that. I would rather see a villain that is more
human and recognizable, who actually shows a smidgen of emotion once in a
while instead of being the perfect soap cliche. As it is, Carlo is a
laughable caricature.
