Don't suppose anyone has a Uk based set for this that can be begged, borrowed, stolen or hired at a much cheaper rate than the pro companies.
For a group wanting to do a show at my venue - they do one (different show) every year but costs are spiralling - it is a quality show - they get in pro musical directors and directors but it is a student show so very little cash to play with.
I'm trying to get them a better deal on lights and PA but don't know any contacts in the theatre world to help them with sets.
Hall has pretty big stage, fly bars etc.

We did 'fame' at school using a very basic set- 2 scaff towers with angled ladders on either side of the stage and upstage was built up using stage blocks. This gave us all the versatility we needed and had very few scene changes- the ladders went on and off a couple times and we had a stage block centre stage for one scene I think. We had flats attached to the scaffolds with painted scenes- a bookshelf on one and noticeboard on the other. The whole lot cost us very little.
Having seen the pro touring show recently I can say that their set is far from complex- 2 spiral staircases leading to a catwalk, 1 double door unit SR and a revolve unit SL to make the 'band' scene easier to set- as far as I remember the whole band was on the revolve and 'playing' as it spun round into view and the same as it went out.
If you have flying space then the 'hard work' blackboard will be easily flown in and out.
