In what way are they substantially different than Jerry Falwell? Rev.
Falwell also ran charities while living a very comfortable life.
Falwell spewed hatred.
..> They were in debt when they got out of the White
House and, to quote Bush about his plans when he gets out, they put
energy into building "up their coffers." That he has been able to
earn a lot of dough and still do remarkable work for people in the
third world is a testament of his energy.
.What???? What, exactly did this pampered lounge lizard do that was so
great?
I'm not going to play this game with you.>.
Of course not - games have rules, games demand fair play.
Which you know nothing of.
Nothing I write will mean a.
damn thing to you because you're determined to do nothing but
denigrate anything done by any Democrat except, maybe, Lieberman, who
is not a Democrat any more.
I'm perfectly comfortable with the idea that there are honorable
leftists. Conservatives tend to believe that leftists are wrong,
while leftists tend to believe that Conservatives are evil. While I
have been quite critical of William Clinton, but I've never questioned
his patriotism. I don't believe Jimmy Carter is a traitor - rather I
believe that he's an extremely bitter old man who's made foolish
decisions. But I don't believe for a second that he wants to bring
down the country.
Big of you.
(Bush ran.
a disciplined presidential campaign and has been a disastrous
president, so there's no correlation in that case.)
Yes, he disastrously broke the back on international terrorism,
Then why is bin Laden still free? Then why is al Qaeda stronger than
it's been since before 9/11? You never seem to answer these questions.
he
disastrously had fascist dictator Saddam Hussein hung, he disastrously
liberated Afghan,
And allowed the Taliban and al Qaeda to regain so much strength that
they're threatening to take over large portions of the country again.
he disastrously revived the US economy until the
Democrats took over both houses.
BWAHAHAHAHA!!!! I cannot believe you actually have the nerve to blame
the economy on the Democrats. Well, actually, I can believe it, since
you're living in some kind of delusional bubble. It was Republicans who
took away the regulatory powers that would have prevented the real
estate disaster and the bank failures that have already happened and
will be happening.
He disasterously bent over backwards
to work with the democrats (you just might be correct with that last
one.)
Yeah, on opposite day.
Seriously, W haters will have a very hard time demonizing the Bush
administration to future generations who weren't raised to screech at
the mention of his name.
When someone does his best to dismantle the Constitution, and did his
best to destroy our military, he deserves to be demonized.
I voted for her.
anyway, at the same time sending messages to her campaign people of my
displeasure at the tone of the campaign. I do think she'd have made
the best president, but I'm pretty pleased with Obama's prospects.
Obama is the classic overeducated fool. You talk endlessly about
President Bush's verbal gaffes, (which are charming to those who love
him, and embarrassing to those how loath him,) but the hole's in
Obama's education are literally terrifying to any honest, informed,
person. When hearing about Russia's invasion of Georgia, BO suggested
that the issue would best be handled by the UN.
"....!!!!!.....????.....!!!!!!!...*#&&@^#*$#($**(...."
The man running for the office of President of the United States
doesn't know that Russia has a veto on the UN???????
This doesn't make your blood run cold?
Of course not. It's called diplomacy. Every conflict does not require a
military solution (and, obviously, can't in this situation since we
don't have any troops to send; hmmm, at last something good to lay on
Bush's doorstep--he's overextended our military so severely that he
can't get get us involved in another military disaster).
He's smart enough to bring in good people,>.
Like the Right Rev. Wright, Bill Ayres, and the other Anti-American,
racist crowd? How much hay would you have made if McCain has spent
twenty years in the pew of a church which embraced the KKK, and the
best argument he could muster was ".... they're racist? Really? I
didn't notice."
Oh, puh-leeze, if you know ANYthing about American history then you know
that everything that Wright has said about how blacks were treated by
whites in this country were gospel truth. His only flaw was that his
pain is so great that he's unable to see the progress that's been made.
.Doesn't leave that much time for "dealing with world health issues",
does it?
Whether he's done it personally or has caused it to be done by staff,.
he's having a major impact on malaria and is a leader in fighting
AIDS. Roam through the site --http://www.clintonfoundation.org/site-map/
Is it possible that "Clinton foundation dot org" may not the be the
most objective source for what they actually do? BTW, I couldn't find
where it mentioned how much of Bill's personal fortune was donated to
that foundation.
Why is that relevant in the least?
Let me tell you another reason that I'm not all that impressed with
Mr. Clinton's generous, er, donation of his name.
Then you're a fool. His name and speeches bring in the money and the
volunteers to do the work of his foundation. That's how foundations
work; the leader leads, just like in any other organization. You don't
see Bill Gates in the cubicles writing code, do you? You don't see the
Chairman of General Motors working on the line, do you? Sheesh!
In the 60s, my brother was diagnosed with epilepsy. My mother was
shocked to discover that there was no New Jersey branch of the
epilepsy Foundation... so she, along with a man named Bill Sharp,
started one. We had epileptics running through our house non-stop in
my youth. (BTW, I'm a great person to have around when someone has an
attack. I'm able to hold people down firmly without breaking bones,
and I always remember to tell them their name, where they are, and
that they just had an attack - information that people who often have
no short term memory whatsoever like to know.)
Last year, just out of curiosity, I looked up that organization - it
had, over the decades since my mother left it, grew large and
powerful. I called them up, and reminded them of their fairly humble
beginnings. They wanted to throw a tribute party to my mother, but
she thought it was more trouble than it was worth.
Seriously, don't tell me that Bill Clinton is a great man because he
lent his name to some organization - or that he shows up twice a year
to shake hands and raise funds.
You really are clueless.
BTW, Rush Limbaugh has a charity that he runs a Leukemia foundation.
Once a year he hosts a fundraiser on his show, and he's donated
millions of his own dollars to the organization.
Good for him.
