Re: Slightly OT: Wall-E

I just got back from seeing the new animated file Wall-E. Really
wonderful. And, the in the opening you hear "Out there is world
outside of Yonkers", which soon launches into "Put on your Sunday
Clothes". Wall-E is a robot in post apocalyptic Earth who's an
obsessive musical theater (or at least "Hello Dolly") fan. At the end
of the day the first thing that the robot (and his cockroach pal --
was this inspired by Archy and Mehatibel?) turns on the movie of "Hello
Dolly" (I wonder if Michael Crawford gets residuals :-)). The
animation (as we've come to expect from Pixar) is nothing short of
amazing. What's more amazing is that in the first hour or so there's
essentially no dialog, but the film really held my attention. Even
though it's billed as something of kids I think that adults will get a
lot out of it too. And, of course, there's musical theater.

Am I the only one who sees the robot's head looks like the bot from
Short Circut?
