I understand the orginal was written by Coward.

However, as i understand it the lyrics were "adapted" by Beatrice
Lillie.

I provided the Coward lyrics to my patron and they were not what she
wanted.

Is my patron misinformed? Are they lyrics the same?

I suspect the song you're looking for is "I've Been To a Marvelous
Party" and it's BY Noel Coward.

It can be found in more than a few books. There's a complete lyrics of
Noel Coward and several collections of his songs, including a book
called A Last Encore.
