gets tomorrow. Doesn't matter, my sign is ready and I'm leaving at 7 am
for the Mall. --------------------------------------- SN: You go, girl. ---------------------------------------

I see from CNN that it made the front page of both the Washington papers (though in both cases Rita was the lead story).
Hey - sharing above the fold with Rita ain't bad. I figured we would be, at best, below the fold. There were maybe 5 news trucks parked along Constitution Ave; it wasn't obvious that C-Span was there (no logos) and only one of the trucks had a local station on it. But there were plenty of guys roamning around with cameras balanced on their shoulders although their press badges which did not clearly identify which service or bureau they were with; one enterprising fellow was on rollerblades. UP was there and the only way I know that was because I saw the camerman going into the UP offices as I was trying to make my way back to the Mall to try to catch the end of the Book Fair.
You know what? If I'd had the plane fare to spare this weekend, I'd have been there. And if Bush or Rice head to Ottawa any time soon, I'll be on the first train I can get.
