Yes, I think it was Mr. Frank Rich who called him a "beefy juvenile" and
also wrote "the aptly named Ann Crumb." I later saw Ms. Crumb in ANNA
KARENINA and RAGS- and she was not crummy.

And nor was she crummy in "Aspects of Love" (well, in London, though most of the same principals opened the show on Broadway). She was, in fact, very, very good indeed; hers, when I saw it, was certainly the best performance in the cast.
