No, because the derivation and verification are only as good as the
"sense" part, or rather, you need all three. You need data input, you
need to derive some sort of meaningful information from the input, and
then you need to verify that the meaning you got is in fact the meaning.
So a person who is blind and deaf cannot be a scientist?
Maybe not, but he sure plays a mean pin ball.
