I guess we've mentioned your work's rememblance to Duncan's before.

I suppose that could be viewed as a "heirarchy", especially since
in this case the increase in quantity brings a quality all its own,
but I wouldn't normally think of it that way. More like
martial arts belt rankings or something.

Ah... think of it like having more talismans, in the Wizard Lord setting.
Not quite, since in this case each "talisman" is general-purpose,
but sort of the same. Sort of.

I'm not sure how it's not like a hierarchy, especially since people at the
higher levels often control people at the lower levels.
