You are not buying books for the Kindle. You are renting
them.

If they're sufficiently cheap, I have no problem with
renting novels and short stories!
(I kinda suspect they *won't* be, though.)
The book the guy had problems with wasn't fiction, it was a
reference book. You know, the kind you buy to refer to on an
ongoing basis.
You mean, of course, the guy who wrote,

"You are able to redownload your books an unlimited number of
times to any specific device.

Any one time the books can be on a finite number of devices.
In most cases that means you can have  the same book on six
different devices.

No, liar-boy, I mean this guy:

http://www.geardiary.com/2009/06/19/kindles-drm-rears-its-ugly-
head-and-it-is-ugly/

http://tinyurl.com/l59tk6

Who was specifically told by the Amazon rep (several, in fact)
that in order to get the book he'd already paid for once
already on to the new devices, he's have to buy it again.

Why did you snip out the URL? So you could lie about what
happened? Are you being paid by Amazon to try to defuse the
growing outrage over their abusing, theivish DRM policies?

If so, liar-boy, you should give them back their money. You're
not very good at it.

Honeychile, I do hate when you are abusive and wrong at the
   same time.

Except I'm never wrong.

Don't quit your day job. Your comedy seems to lack that certain
something.

I love you to bits and hate to disagree in public, but you are
  calling
someone a liar for posting a quote from the URL you provided.
It's hard to defend you.

That has never stopped Terry before.

He snipped it out, so he could present cherry picked quotes
completely out of context.

Noooo. I snipped it out because it was not necessary to my message.
Perhaps you haven't noticed that your message does not magically
disappear when people respond to you. Instead it hangs around where
everyone can see it as many times as they like.

Some of us who have been posting for a while (my first usenet post was
in 1989) still like to adhere to the netiquette guide. There was no
cherry picking of quotes. You were wrong, I posted a quotation which
showed that you were wrong. The material I snipped did not in any way
refute what I wrote, so there was nothing unethical about snipping it.

this time, I left the message intact since it so nicely demonstrates
the intellectual bankruptcy of your argument and the baselessness of
your feeble insults.
