Re: Sharing Knife: Lakewalker Society questions

: "Aaron J. Dinkin" <dinkin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
: Do... do we know that? There's certainly no reference to even the
: existence of a Europe-equivalent in the books, I grant; but aren't there
: some occasional references to populations along the East Coast?

Dag asserts that no sailors have visited other continents at least since
the Malice Wars, though they are known to have existed then, and been
populated. Dag and/or Fawn speculates that possibly the other continents
have been Blighted entirely, so there's nobody there, and anybody who
goes there dies, or that they were *not* blighted, and have quarantined
our continent until they are satisfied that the last malice has been
poked with a Sharing Knife, and anybody who goes there gets sunk
or imprisoned. But in either event, nobody has been there and returned
to tell the tale in all the time since the Malice Wars, ccording to
Lakewalker records as related by Dag in Legacy (I think it was Legacy;
could possibly have been Passage; don't have page ref to hand).
