In one series? Wow. How does that work? (What's the actual means
that can be accessed(?) in those objects?)
You've ... never read Narnia?
I wouldn't have asked otherwise.
Put them near the top of your list plz.
What list?
(Each one is fairly short and reads quickly...) There's more
than a little "it's magic, duh" behind the various means.
<shrug>
If I were going for books to read, then I'd want an explanation for
magic (like other people want explanations for tech used). As it is,
I'm just curious about what has been done.
Xenocyte left out "getting summoned by a magic horn", "falling
through a mysteriously-expanding picture of a boat", "direct
invocation of the Supreme Being's son" and "being blown on the
breath of a lion from the end of the world", and "through a cave
on an island"...
But I guess they're used somewhere else.
(Start with _The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe_; leave _The
Magician's Nephew_ till after you've read the first four.)
I'm not going to read any of them.
If it happens to turn up as an audioplay or audiobook in the library
(or free to download legally), it'll have the same priority as any
other. (My requirements there are 'story or documentaries, no
current affairs'. The only stories there that I'd refuse are Harry
Potter and LotR, which I doubt are free anyway, and in the library
they're easily evaded.)
Or more elaborate, to enter the fairy world you, afaik, have to
walk around a hill in a certain way to enter the unseen world,
and that's the kind of type I have in mind; it's right here,
too. A Fantasy world or virtual reality are just other options.
You want to find, if you can, the supplement to The Primal Order
role-playing system titled "Chessboards".
No, I don't. Don't know why I would, either.
Paratime
What's that?
You might also be interested in the Elric, Erekose, Hawkmoon, and
Corum series of Moor***'s Eternal Champion.
Whatever that is. I'm not looking for a book (certainly no
unexplained titles or names of authors), I'm just curious about what
has been done. (This is ras.written, not ras.list-titles, after all,
so it's the perfect place to just talk about the stuff.)

found themselves a job. What about us?"
