Or gaming groups for us geeks, I dated the sister of a friend in my
gaming group briefly. I also dated the cousin of a member of our
Rocky Horror cast (met him for lunch one day and went back to his
place after to hang out). Or the SCA, or any other group where people
of both sexes hang out.

I actually met my wife via a girl who was a friend (former neighbor)
of my Starfleet commander (who I met via the SCA).
