I don't either. Especially if it gets point-by-point examination of what
science is, and how this stuff over here fails to do this that and the other
that would be required, so doesn't qualify to be classified as 'science'.
It was a couple hundred years ago, of course, so it'd be in
a history of science, or in a historical overview of the
development of biological science, but I don't see a problem with that.
Much like the controversy over the shape of the Earth, or the dynamics of
an asteroid^W^Wthe Solar System, or inheritance of acquired characteristics,
or homeopathy...
Of course, if the notion is to pretend there's any scientific
controversy these days about special creation of current species...
well, that would be more of a problem.
There's a lot of controversy; none of it's scientific, and all of it's
coming from people who desperately want to grab onto the coattails of the
success rate science has as an explanation-device.
But try explaining that to people who Don't Understand Science, or putting it
in a contagious sound bite...
