I *think* that Lee Brimmicombe-Wood's ALIENS COLONIAL MARINES
TECHNICAL MANUAL, which is implicitly set at the time of "Aliens,"
explicitly says "United States Colonial Marines." I don't have a
copy at hand to check though.
Anybody remember whether there were any U.S. flag patches on any of
the Marines' uniforms in "Aliens?" As above, I *think* I remember
seeing some, but the memory cheats.
(Note: the United States may or may not still exist by the time of
"Aliens," but Nebraska certainly still does. :-)
