All she did was run up a 20 million dollar debt.

Got any details on that? I've heard it several times, and seen
nothing whatsoever to support it. And even if it's true, it's
meaningless without knowing the details.

Much of it seems to center on the Wasilla Sports Complex, which the city seems to have built on land they didn't have clear title to, and when they sued to establish title, lost the case, costing them quite a bit to fix.

Who gets tagged with responsibility for it, though -- who knows? And whether there'smore, or whether all the "nearly $20 million" charge comes from that, it's hard to tell.

I suspect we'll *never* hear the details from the Dems.

The Anchorage Daily News and the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman (Wasilla's local paper) has coverage on the lawsuit and its fallout, which started in 1999, was decided in 2002 and an eminent domain case launched later that year, all during Palin's tenure as mayor. Some links:
