That is what I was originally trying to figure out, was why after hundreds of thousands of years, we lived basically the same way, and then after the Mt. Toba disaster settled down, we all of a sudden started advancing as rapidly as we did. Why we had to have religions, why we starting inventing and using other tools than flint, and how we could overcome any creature on the planet. Before, we were unable to do any of those things. Something changed, we just don't know what. You have to admit that dominating the world in 47,000 years is pretty special. My explanation is as good as being "made from dirt". I still say that if the People need the same gravity, same atmosphere, same to some extent, the same temperature there is no reason their DNA could not be the made like ours. You say that we can see that we are related to ALL critters living on this planet, I'm saying that we could be from a planet in this galaxy, and you may not be able to tell the difference in the DNA. I'm not trying to misquote you, as I don't think you are me. I believe we do miscommunicate at times though.
Claiming that your explanation is as good as young earth creationism is measuring your explanation against a low bar.
Anyway, what's wrong with crossing a threshold that allows us to collectively accumulate cultural capital as an explanation?
