I stopped reading Lackey after her first novel, I forget what it
was. I said, "She's found a target audience, that will buy all
her books if they're like this and make her a lot of money,
because they'll hit them where they live. I'm not part of that

I read her first novel and thought "she's not there yet but she shows
promise". Alas, I still think so. Oh well...
